$1.9 million: Built by Swedish automaker Koenigsegg, and named after a 16th-century Danish astronomer, Regera has been unveiled as one of—if not THE—most expensive cars on sale today.
The car starts at $1.9 million, although there’s no word on what it costs to insure—so let’s just assume you don’t drive Regera to work every day. It has a hybrid drivetrain that Koenigsegg says makes a combined 1,500 horsepower and 2,000 pound-feet of torque. In other words, it goes very fast!

It was unveiled at a special event held at Ferrari’s facilities at their home town of Maranello on July 14, 2017, marking 10 years since Scuderia Ferrari F1 Team’s last Drivers’ title and 17 years since Ferrari last won Constructors’ Championship title. LaFerrari translates to The Ferrari in English; Aperta means open in Italian.

The exclusive automobile has been created as a one-off model by Mulliner -Bentley and will remain property of its owner. With a starting price of $13 million, it’s priced almost twice as much as a standard Phantom coupe which starts at around $450,000.
